| Jalipa Jungle Hiking Tour |
After we pick you up at your hotel and drive 15 minutes up Jalipa Canyon, we pull off the road and back in time.
Driving up the canyon you will feel as if the dinosaurs are still alive with the exotic plants and trees. Explore the primordial forest and come fact to face with snakes, insects, birds and even wild red-footed tarantulas. Our guides will be sure to point out the reddish-brown paper trees, parasite trees that wrap their roots around other trees, hanging orchids, bromeliads, and other local flora and fauna.
Most of the trails follow a meandering path that winds up and down several gentle hills. The last part of the hike is challenging with an uphill walk that takes you to the top of a vegetation-covered mountain.
After you arrive at our private palapa ontop of a hill with a spectacular view, you can relax in a hammock or hike down to a natural spring. Here amid the trees, relax and have a snack and admire the canyons and trees as hawks dive overhead.
Your Jalipa Jungle Hiking Tour includes: Pick up and drop off transportation from your hotel to Jalipa Canyon, water and snacks, a guided tour of the local flora and fauna by an experienced guide.
$50 usd per person.
